The vision of Pilipinas SchoolNet is to build a network of schools throughout the Philippines that will leverage the Internet and related technologies to improve teaching and learning and to better prepare the Filipino youth to meet the demands of the knowledge economy. Pilipinas SchoolNet is committed to addressing the Digital Divide within the country--between those who have access to the Internet and those who do not--by promoting the effective and sustainable use of computers and the Internet in schools, particularly those in underserved communities.

Classmates.con was created in 1996, it was the result of an expansive search for an old high school friend by Randy Conrads, its founder. Randy turned to the Web and after a lengthy search was ultimately successful. Realizing that a universal source for contact information on high school alumni would be ideally suited for the Web, Randy decided to test the concept. He soon found that many people were seeking lost friends but still suffered through the same slow process-without ClassMates.Com-that he had experienced in finding his friend. The concept was proven and the sites purpose was established. Check it out!

This list contains universities and colleges all over the world. It does not contain departmental pages unless the page in question did an adequate job of providing general campus information as well - there is also only one link per school

Alumni Net has since grown to include 750,000 registered alumni from over 18,000 schools all around the globe, and is growing in number everyday. Their explanation for the success of the site is that it helps reunite long-lost school friends, an effect that makes all their efforts seem worthwhile.
